Your personal information

Fuelchief collects personal information when you contact us, send a form, sign up to our newsletter, download a document or create an account on this website. This page explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

The details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, company and your message, and the record of your visits described below.

How we use it

To reply to you, to provide what you asked for, to send you our newsletter if you signed up for it (every email has an unsubscribe link), and to understand which of our services you're interested in.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. The companies that host this website and send our emails store it for us and may only use it to provide that service.

To show you the version of this website for your country, your browser asks country.is, a location service, which country your internet address is in at the start of each visit. country.is sees your internet address, as every website you visit does; we don't keep its answer.

How we keep it safe

Your information is stored on secured servers that only authorised staff can access.

How long we keep it

We keep your details only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and keep our business records. Visit records are deleted after 24 months.

See, correct or delete your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email info@fuelchieftanks.com or phone +64 3 384 2380.

If you're not happy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Your visits to this website

We record each visit: the pages you view, when, the site or ad you came from, and your type of device. We record IP addresses for security purposes. We use a cookie set by this website only, not shared with anyone else. It lasts 90 days from your last visit.

When you send us a form, we link your past and future visits to the details you gave us, so we understand what you're interested in.

We keep visit records for 24 months, then delete them. You can ask to see or delete everything we hold about you.
